Skip the Nainital crowd. We stay in a fruit orchard above Mukteshwar with Himalayan views, walk through pine forests to the Mukteshwar temple, and spend one evening boating on Naini Lake after the tourists leave. Three days of hills, chai, and zero rush.

Itinerary
Day 1: Nainital Lake & Drive Up
Arrive Nainital by noon. Walk along the lake, boat in the evening when crowds thin. Drive to Mukteshwar orchard stay.
Day 2: Mukteshwar & Forests
Morning walk to Mukteshwar Dham temple. Afternoon trek through pine and rhododendron forests. Evening around bonfire with local Kumaoni food.
Day 3: Sunrise & Depart
Early sunrise with Himalayan views (Nanda Devi, Trishul visible on clear days). Breakfast. Depart by noon.
