Why this journey exists
I've driven across Ladakh multiple times, but this expedition is truly special. We have teamed up with the seasoned overland leaders at OverlandX to create 'Her Drive' — a dedicated self-drive expedition for women.
I'll be driving along in my Maruti Suzuki Jimny 4x4 ('There Goes Uddip'), carrying passenger seats, hosting everyone on the trail, and capturing the cinematography and raw human stories turn by turn.
With professional lead and sweep vehicles, satellite and radio comms, an experienced mechanical recovery unit, and dedicated medical and oxygen backup, you get the absolute thrill of driving the greatest high-altitude roads in the world with zero logistical worry. Plus, we have planned some truly special surprises for our women explorers along the route. See you on the road on September 18th!

Itinerary
Meet at the hotel in Delhi/NCR for the expedition briefing. The OverlandX team assigns convoy positions and VHF radios, reviews the route and high-altitude safety protocols, and answers questions. We hand over your welcome packs and spend the evening getting to know the crew over dinner.

Transparent all-inclusive expedition pricing of ₹49,999 per person. Early Bird Discount: Save 10% (₹44,999) when booking by September 10, 2026. A booking deposit of ₹25,000 confirms your slot in the convoy. Covers boutique accommodations, daily breakfasts and dinners, Inner Line Permits, expedition marshals, convoy radios, dedicated cinematography, and certified medical/recovery team support. Fuel, personal vehicle running costs, and lunches are handled independently.
