Pilot Report: Miyar Valley with 4 Travelers
Miyar Valley, Himachal Pradesh1 June 2025

“During the pilot, Karan suffered mild AMS on Day 5 at 3,900m while we were rigging a rope crossing. We didn't panic - we slowed the pacing, gave him hot ginger-electrolyte water, and let the mountain dictate our schedule. The pilot proved that patience is our best safety gear.”

In May 2025, I scouted Miyar Valley solo over 10 days. In July, we ran the pilot. Here's the full debrief.
The Pilot Group: 4 travelers, hand-picked from our application pool.
What Worked: The pacing was right (8 days, not 7). The local guide (Dorje) was indispensable.
What Didn't Work: The Day 3 stream crossing was dangerous. The camping stove was too slow.
Feedback Scores (out of 10): Overall experience: 9.5. Guide quality: 10. Food: 8.5.
The Miyar Valley journey is now open for full applications.
